Doesn't the title of this post sound silly? Who needs help being excited for vacation right? Well, when you are crazy like me and plan for a vacation a year in advance, that excitement can dwindle a little bit. Plus, I couldn't resist putting all those cute ideas I found on Pinterest to fruition!

This is so simple to do! You can find tons of these free countdown printables, or even make your own like I did. This is something the kids keep track of too, so no extra work for mom!

Themed Meals and Movie Nights
One of our favorite countdown activities are themed movie nights! You can get as creative or non creative as you want. The kids really enjoyed all the hokey themed food!
Get Crafty
My girls love to craft, I can't tell you how many hours my middle daughter spends on YouTube watching craft videos! These are some simple things you can do together to make your trip extra special! There are so many fun ways to jazz up and personalize your magic bands too! This past trip I actually super glued a billion crystals to mine and really blinged it out, that got a lot of compliments! You can also make hair bows, luggage tags, and bottle cap necklaces!
Build It In To Daily Activities
You can build vacation excitement into your normal activities, just slap on a mickey head or any other clip art related to your trip and voila! Pinterest has more ideas than you could ever complete, very rarely do I have an original idea anymore! Guys, it really is so simple to do these things, and kids absolutely love it! Something that helps me to stay on top of my countdown activities is to get my ideas for the week completed ahead of time. It's kinda like that darn elf on the shelf, you don't want to be scrambling at 6:00 am wondering what to do. Get it all ready so you don't have to stress about it!
