Dining at Universal Studios Florida

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Universal Studios, the rides are amazing, it's easy to get around and doesn't take the planning that Disney does, and Harry Potter....enough said! The one thing that is lacking just a bit, in my opinion, are the dining options in the park. CityWalk has some good options, not all of them take reservations though, which is a bummer. Today I'm going to talk about the restaurants that we have liked, the one's we didn't really care for, and give you some info. on Universal's dining plan.

The dining plan at Universal is pretty simple, it can save you a little money if you use it right. If you want the peace of mind of pre-paying for meals and not having to shell out money while your there, then I say get the plan. My husband and I used the quick service plan on our first trip to Universal, and we saved about $10 total. We didn't use it on our big family trip this past December because we had planned to eat at Toothsome's Chocolate Emporium and it wasn't included in the table service meals. The wait was two hours for Toothsome, so we just grabbed a milkshake to go. If you are going during a busy time, like we did, I'd recommend eating there in the very early evening!

To sum it up we go to Universal for the atmosphere, not the food. Plan ahead, and check out menus before you go. There are an overabundance of restaurants that just serve the basic burgers, chicken, and pizza. If you want more options then CityWalk will be your go to place. I am still dying to try The Cowfish, but my husband is refusing to be adventurous, maybe next time! What are some of your favorite places to eat at Universal Studios Florida?
