Here are some tips that keeps us sane-er on road trips with our 4 kiddos...
Make Intentional Stops
I know your husband probably has the "we will only be stopping once to pee" rule...but gently break it to him that for your sanity, you will be making just a couple quick stops along the way! Look up interesting places along the way, small landmarks and fun giant gas stations.. a la Buccee's!! I'm just going to throw out that Buccee's is a must stop if you are in Texas! After, you have found a couple fun places to stop, map it out for your kids so they can follow along, and get excited for that next stop, you can even make a guessing game out of what they think it might be! I like to do small clues, or treats for them to open just before we get there. If you need some ideas just shoot me an e-mail, I'd love to help make that long drive more fun!

Get Your Devices Ready
Let me start by saying I don't let my kids spend the whole trip on their devices, but guys, electronics can be a real help! Before your trip make sure you have downloaded any apps or games that you want accessible on the road, make sure they don't need wi-fi to use! Give your kids a good variety, they will get bored fast if they are like my kids. Netflix now allows you to download a certain amount of movies or shows, you can watch the downloaded content without needing wi-fi! These movies or shows do expire, so make sure you download them right before you leave, and update or replace shows when you have access to wi-fi. If you still buy movies, most come with codes. You can use these codes to download your movies to Flixster, and these don't expire! Make sure your devices are charged BEFORE you leave! Car chargers just aren't very fast, so save yourself the headache and make sure you are charged. Also, if your car doesn't have a usb outlet or if your device requires a 3 prong plug in make sure you have those adapters, and get them packed in the car before you leave!
Don't forget the headphones! You don't want to listen to several different movies or games at once, trust me! It really hinders my husband and I's jam session to 90's on 9!
